Updated 2.1.2021 to include MOA EO:

COVID Policies to be followed at all MHA events,

regardless of a rink's individual policies

The following expectations take into consideration advice from the CDC as well as the Municipality of Anchorage's Emergency Orders, specifically EO18, attachment E.

  1. Cloth masks or face coverings are required at all times (even during play) for all athletes, players, coaches, officials, and volunteers involved in organized sports. Clear shields, even with splash guards, do not qualify.
  2. The mask or face covering requirement should be applied in a manner consistent with the federal Americans with Disabilities Act and other applicable laws, which may require making an accommodation to the mask requirement for individuals with physical or mental disabilities that impair their ability to wear a mask while participating in sports. Asthma is not covered under this accommodation.
  3. Locker rooms are closed. Players should home dress.
  4. No bags inside the sporting facility.
  5. Access to the rink will be reduced to 10-15 minutes prior to start time, exiting as quickly as feasible.
  6. Skates may be tied inside, sit in assigned area and keep 6' apart.
  7. Bring your own water bottle.
  8. Spectators will not be allowed. Parents may assist their child; however, once the child is settled in the activity, spectators are expected to leave.
  9. COVID questions and temperature tests are required by players, coaches, officials, and volunteers.
  10. Sign in at each rink, if indicated to do so, if you plan on being inside more than 10 minutes.
  11. If a player or coach tests positive for COVID, the entire team may be required to quarantine for 14 days from last contact, regardless of a negative test, per CDC guidelines.
  12. Any member with a positive test, or secondhand contact to a positive person, must report to the team’s Coach, Manager, and the MHA Office Manager.
  13. Inside games within the Municipality of Anchorage only with other Municipal teams and with negative Covid test.
