It was announced on March 11th that USA hockey has cancelled its series of upcoming National Championship tournaments. Locally, public-use rinks have been closed, programming suspended or cancelled until further notice. This includes State, Spring League, Ponytail Tournament, Mini-Mac Jamboree, practices, and parties.
Stay tuned for updates.
BOARD MEETINGS HAVE BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE:
Third Wednesday, 7-9 PM in MAC Center Community Room
The McDonald Center has pulled their ice for the season, as it doesn't look promising for a re-opening date any time soon. The remainder of this season's ice rentals are officially cancelled. If a refund is in order, contact the appropriate organizer for more information.

Re: Alaska State Hockey Association Select Camp
April 17-19, 2020
Dear Parents and Players:
As you may be aware, there are sweeping concerns across the country and within the State of Alaska regarding the spread and devastation associated with the Cornoavirus-19. Currently, and the Municipality of Anchorage has shuttered many venues, including all of the rinks. While the current closures do not yet encompass our Select Camp Dates of April 17-19, 2020, the closure may very be extended given the rise in cases nationally and within our state. While we certainly all hope that this situation will pass quickly, and that all of you remain healthy and safe, ASHA will not be able to conduct the select camp on the current dates.
Unlike Hockey Canada, that nationally closed all hockey throughout Canada, USA Hockey has left the ultimate decisions on conducting local play and local camps up to the individual affiliates, such as ASHA. Your safety and the safety of those around you are our paramount concern. There is just too much uncertainty with our ability to responsibly conduct the select camps on the current dates of April 17-19, 2020.
ASHA will be working with Rocky Mountain Register to secure refund of your camp registration fee. That said, ASHA is committed to the benefits of the younger age specific Camp experience, and the value it brings to the players. ASHA will be seriously looking to see what future opportunities the next several months may bring to have this camp, or other age specific combined camps.
